Oxford Civic Society welcome the alterations to this property which better reflect the original design of the frontage and provides the occupants of the residential accommodation with an enclosed entrance.  The details of the non-illuminated fascia sign were not included in the application so comment on appearance/suitability was not possible.  The existing, traditional ‘barber’s pole’, would be acceptable if that is what is proposed.
