Erection of a three storey building to create 3 x 1-bed and 6 x 2-bed flats (Use Class C3). Provision of car parking and bin and cycle storage.
Oxford Civic Society agrees with the published comments of the Oxfordshire County Council Highways Authority on this application. The application fails to address previously expressed concerns that there is inadequate access for residents and visitors not travelling by car. In addition there are no convincing plans to secure safe vehicular, pedestrian and cycle access through the Tesco car park. The impact of the development on congestion on the adjacent main highways is a matter of concern. The arrangements for waste collection also appear inadequate.
