The Weston Library

Friday 17th February, 11am

The Weston Library is the Bodleian’s Special Collections Library, housing its world-renowned rare book and manuscript collections, acquired over 400 years of collecting. Designed by Giles Gilbert Scott and built in 1937-39, the Library was extensively remodelled internally in 2012-15 to a design by Wilkinson Eyre Architects. A tour of the building will explore how new and old have been blended to bring this Grade II Listed Building up to date, to preserve its priceless contents, to improve research facilities and increase public access.
