How can we prepare for the next global pandemic?

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that academia can deliver transformative scientific advances with global impact, as seen with the University of Oxford’s successful COVID-19 vaccine and RECOVERY Drugs trial. The Pandemic Sciences Institute launched earlier this year as a multi-disciplinary, University-wide initiative to build upon the model of innovation, collaboration and agility that yielded these successes. In this talk Dr Sean Elias will discuss how this approach will help us prepare for the next global pandemic.
