Community spaces in Oxford: creating the places we need for our communities to thrive
Friday 9 October from 10am to 2pm
Old Fire Station
Thriving communities are a central part of any society. Community organisations need spaces and places in which to meet, to organise, to create, to trade, to relax, and simply to belong. In Oxford that space is often hard to find. This event, organised by Oxford Civic Society and Makespace, will bring together community groups, local councils, developers and Oxford University to share experiences, expertise and ideas and to build on that knowledge to develop common ground, identify underlying problems and find positive ways forward.
This event is free to attend but places are limited: advance booking is essential. Lunch will be provided.
