In celebration of National Meadows Day, we will be visiting Chimney Meadows, near Bampton, West Oxfordshire. Lisa Lane (Upper Thames Living Landscape Manager for Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust) will lead a walk to the National Nature Reserve, to see the internationally important floodplain meadows. En route we will walk through several meadows created using the seed from the NNR and hear about some of the work that has been undertaken to restore the floodplain habitats of the River Thames. This two-hour long walk will require stout footwear, sun hat and insect repellent!
