One World Festival 18 – 19 November

OCS sponsors event at the Ashmolean

15 November 2017

Oxford Civic Society is delighted to be a sponsor of the Ashmolean Museum’s One World Festival which takes place next weekend – Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November. Entry is free.

The Festival celebrates in music, song, dance and prayer the multiple faiths and communities that make Oxford such a diverse and colourful city.

The Civic Society is a society for anybody and everybody who cares about Oxford, wants to enjoy it more fully and wants to help shape its future. Appreciating our past, enjoying the present and pursuing a vision for the future are at the heart of what we do. Through our active programme of talks and visits, our annual OxClean Spring Clean and our other efforts we promote a city-wide community spirit and encourage people and groups from all communities to take an interest and pride in their city.

You can see the full programme of events over the two days of the One World Festival here or on the Ashmolean’s own website. Members of the Society will be at our stand in the Greek and Roman Sculpture Gallery on the ground floor (turn left inside the main doors; we will be at the far end). Do come and see us and find out more about what we do.
