Member survey 2020
A brief summary of the results
8 October 2020
Every few years we invite our members to take part in a survey to find out how well we’re meeting people’s expectations of the Society. In July/August 2020 we carried out such a survey (mainly online) and had an excellent response – thank you to all of you who took part.
The survey shows a largely contented membership with particular praise for our programme of walks, talks and visits. Our various communications are also much enjoyed, though some people are unaware of the extent of our online presence; most members feel at least ‘adequately’ informed about the major issues we are tackling. But some members have challenged us to be more diverse, more consultative and more critical of local councils.
The Executive Committee and the working groups are now considering the findings – so watch out for some changes.
