Demolition of existing conservatory. Erection of single storey and first storey rear extension. Insertion of 1no. window to rear elevation.

The property in question is semi detached and has already been severely disfigured, with a front porch, side extension (part two storey), rear extension plus conservatory, a gable roof in place of
hipped roof, and a massive box dormer . We consider that the proposed extensions add insult to injury : the side extension, which is already a very awkwardly shaped store is further extended, a perfectly good bathroom at first floor level is elongated to no good effect and extensions at the rear will make the snug rather unpleasant. The actual design of the proposed extensions at the rear seem to take their inspiration from the crude box dormer. If allowed, the flat roofed extension at first floor level in particular would set a dangerous precedent. Whilst the the front elevation hasn’t been further affected we feel that the proposed extensions represent gross overdevelopment and should be refused permission .
