Erection of a part first floor, part two storey side and rear extension (Amended description)

OCS has a number of concerns relating to this application which is lacking in crucial detail that provides information relating to the proposed status of this dwelling, ie its intended use. A D&AS must be provided and the drawings would be improved by the inclusion of consistent orientation and labelling of rooms.  With the exception of the kitchen and upstairs bathroom, all are referred to as ‘rooms’. The existing property which is located next to Church Cowley St James School has seven habitable rooms and the extension will add a further two. There is a WC/shower on the ground floor serving 5 rooms; on the first floor one bathroom serves 4 rooms and a further room is ensuite.  The side extension will block any access to the garden where the bin and cycle storage is located.  The block plan does not indicate any rear access and if this is lacking then the bin and cycle storage must be relocated to the front of the property, to avoid the unhygienic conveyance of rubbish through the property. The same comment would apply vis a vis cycles.  We note also that the application features parking space for two vehicles on the forecourt of the property. A decision on this application should be withheld until the issues we outline are dealt with satisfactorily by the applicant.
