This application refers to an identical rear extension to the adjoining semi-detached property at 43 Napier Road being carried out simultaneously, but there is no record of any application for planning consent having been made since 2003. If no similar extension is carried out to 43 Napier Road, the proposals contained in the current application would severely compromise the daylight and sunlight amenity of the adjacent property. No details are provided of the appearance of the bike and bin ‘areas’, prominent at the front of the property, and the dimensions of these are inadequate for provision of appropriate storage. Consent should be conditional upon resolution of these issues.
