Removal of condition 9 (Use – residential accommodation) of planning permission 07/02695/FUL (Change of use of first and second floor from retail (class A1) to restaurant, bar and take-away (classes A3, A4 and A5). Provision of office, rest room, private lounge, meeting room, staff accommodation and roof terrace on second floor. Enclosure of balcony to frontage. Bin and recycle store to rear.) to allow insertion of wall to continue use of staff accommodation as a House in Multiple Occupation (Use Class C4).

We find it impossible to assess this application because of the very poor quality of the documentation. We are pleased that the Planning Department is trying to raise the quality of applications by rejecting inadequate applications such as this and we are very surprised that it has been published. We shall raise this as an example at our next residents’ forum meeting.
