Erection of a single storey front extension. Alteration to roof to form hip-to-gable, conversion of loft to habitable space. Alterations to 1no. window and 2no. doors rear elevation. 

The absence of a Design and Access Statement makes it difficult to assess this application. A particular element that is visible from the existing and proposed elevation drawings is the proposal for the particularly unattractive division of the street facing front façade. It is proposed that it will be one part timber cladding and one part render. This creates a clear vertical/visual division of the building and the rationale for such a proposal is unclear.
