Oxford Civic Society appreciates the incremental changes experienced in this location towards transport and retail-related uses. However we have reservations regarding the demolition of flexible late 19th/early 20th century quality residential buildings to maximise black-top surface parking for a car hire company housed in a small, short-life pavilion building. There is also no indication of an intention to move towards more hybrid/electric vehicles for hire.
