Erection of a single storey rear outbuilding. Provision of cycle storage.
We are concerned about this application in several respects. The proposed new building will reduce the amenity space for the occupants of the house which has been divided into 5 flats. It is possible that the storage of garden equipment to be used elsewhere would constitute a change of use of part of the garden to business premises. The side access is not wide enough for vehicles so that anyone collecting equipment for use at another of the applicant’s portfolio of properties would be forced to park in Hurst Street, possibly blocking the carriageway. If the application is approved, we ask that a condition be imposed and enforced that there is no possibility that it can be used as residential accommodation, and certainly not as a separate dwelling.
