Demolition of existing former coach house to south east. Erection of 2×1 bed apartments (Use Class C3) with provision of terrace, communal garden, cycle stores, soft and hard landscaping. New boundary treatment to north, east, south and west elevations. Provision of new gated pedestrian access to east from Mayfield Road.  

This is a compact design for two dwellings intended for key worker staff at Summerfields School.  Our only reservation is that the street façade illustrated in Section 2.3 of the Design and Access Statement seems unduly austere for its setting. But the building is small and Mayfield Road already contains such a variety of architectural styles that this reservation should not stand in the way of approval.
