Demolition of existing rear extension. Erection of a part single, part two storey side and rear extension to form 2 x 1 bed flats (Use Class C3). Provision of bin and cycle stores and 4no. car parking spaces.

The proposal represents better use of the existing space and provides additional living accommodation without exceeding the current footprint of the site.. The street scene would be much improved by the proposed extension. However, Oxford Civic Society has safety concerns relating to the proposal for an additional two parking spaces on the East side of the building: two spaces already exist to the West of the property. While the allocated space is within the boundary of the property, access to the spaces would be across the public footpath at a busy corner of Cinnaminta Road and The Slade. Additionally. these would occupy and potentially obstruct the space adjacent to the shop and flat entrances and the bin and cycle store. These concerns require further consideration.
