Demolition of existing garage, Erection of a single storey side and rear extension and insertion of 2no. rooflights

The ground floor extensions on the side and rear of the house proposed in this application will result in the kitchen in the extended house having no exterior walls and no windows. While the problems with humidity and smells can be solved with extraction, the only daylight in the kitchen will come in, via the window-less sitting room, from the rear doors and roof lights in the dining room that adjoins the sitting room, or from the study, if the door is left open. We believe this is a poorly thought out design that does not comply with the OCC planning policy to encourage good design.  The application in its current form should be rejected.
