We question the rationale for the unusual design of this proposal, and the choice of cladding materials, neither of which are complementary to the architecture of the existing house, nor to its neighbours. The proposals will increase the accommodation of the property, and potentially exacerbate parking problems. No details are provided of the proposed parking arrangements for cars or bicycles, or for storage of waste and re-cycling bins. We recommend the withholding of consent pending resolution of these details.
