This proposal would provide a poor standard of accommodation, in a building which displays no quality of design whatsoever. It represents a real risk of the creation of a “shanty town” atmosphere in this traditional residential area. It also fails to make acceptable provision for bin storage or covered and secure bicycle parking, and would jeopardise existing off-road parking arrangements for existing properties. The application should be refused.
