Change of use from House in Multiple Occupation (Use Class C4) to a large House in Multiple Occupation (Sui Generis). Erection of a single storey rear extension and two storey side extension.

This application offers little information. There is no mention about the likely number of occupants in the proposed 8 bedrooms; there is only 1 x bathroom, 1 x shower room and 1 x WC – all off the kitchen area on the first floor. There are no facilities on the first floor for the 5 bedrooms. In addition, there are no details of proposed bicycle and bin storage.

Only three on-site car parking spaces are proposed, which is inadequate as there should be a minimum of four. On street parking should not be relied upon to accommodate increase in parking demand from new developments or changes in use.

Finally, we concur with the objections made by Oxfordshire County Council Highways Authority.
